BLACK TIE NEW YORK CITY WEDDING, AN ELEGANT WEDDING WEEKEND IN MANHATTAN

From the photoshoot in Central Park, NYC yellow cabs to a packed dance floor at the end of the night, this black-tie wedding weekend was a celebration of everything that makes New York City so iconic.

Planning a Black-Tie Wedding in New York City
Few cities lend themselves to a black-tie wedding quite like New York.
There is an energy to Manhattan that is impossible to replicate. The architecture, the pace, the restaurants, the hotels, the feeling that something is always happening just around the corner. It is a city that rewards curiosity and one that manages to feel both cinematic and deeply personal at the same time.
Perhaps that is why I love photographing weddings here so much. New York provides an incredible backdrop, but it never overshadows the people within it. A quiet moment in a hotel suite, a taxi ride through Midtown, guests spilling onto the streets after dinner, the glow of the city long after sunset — these small moments become part of the story.
For couples planning a black-tie wedding, the city offers endless possibilities. Historic private clubs, elegant ballrooms, rooftop celebrations and world-class dining all sit within a few blocks of one another. Guests arrive ready for an experience, and the city naturally creates a sense of occasion unlike anywhere else.
A wedding weekend in New York is about more than a venue. It is about introducing guests to a place you love, sharing favourite restaurants and neighbourhoods, and creating memories against one of the most iconic cityscapes in the world. Elegant, vibrant and endlessly inspiring, New York remains one of my favourite places to photograph weddings.
